Using Spiritual Bath Washes
Spiritual bath washes have traditionally been used in Christian magical rituals for several different reasons including cleansing and spiritual renewal, drawing what you want to you and even expelling what you don't want away from you. The bathing process is very highly utilized and recommended in most any spiritual works. Often times a spiritual bath can make the largest difference in magical success. It is VERY important to always remember that intent and strong prayers are extremely important in any spiritual works. As you wash with spiritual products it is imperative that you focus on what you want, speak it out loud and feel the emotions associated with your desire. Strong prayer is always recommended and encouraged. Once work in completed you should believe that it is already the way you desire it to be and walk away with full faith that it is done. Below is information on how spiritual bath washes are utilized. Although we will focus mostly on spiritual bath washes for the body below, understand that bath washes are also used to wash your own or a targeted person's clothing as well as to wash down homes, buildins, front pathways, porches and specifically door ways and window seals.
Floor Washes:
In my experience, spiritual baths and floor washes are usually interchangably used unless the floor wash specifically says not to use on the body. Typically with floor washes people will wash the floors, base boards, window seals, and doors for the particular desire. It is always recommended when doing any spiritual work that cleansing and/or road opening take place first. Many times in homes there is blockage that has built up over time. It is especially important to clean out a new home so that the previous tenents, or even those that built the home, have not left any negative energy that may affect you or your family's luck. Cleansing or road opening type work is usually done from the back of the house to the front of the house. If the house has an upstairs area, then that area is completed back to front first and then the lower portion. It is also common to smoke out the house with a related incense if you have it available and I suggest burning Cleanse Me O' Lord or Clear & Open Roads Candle and taking it from room to room with you when you complete each room. Saying a short prayer for removal of negativity and blockage is also important during your cleansing of each room. The candle may continue burning until it goes out on its own. Cleansings and road openings usually end at the front door which is also cleansed. I was also taught to leave three pennies at the front door to draw in luck.
When drawing something into your home, such as love, money, etc., it is suggested to begin at the front door and work your way to the back. As you visit each room you will want to do a prayer for prosperity or whatever blessings you are working towards. You may also burn a sweet smelling incense through out the house and carry a candle to each room with you. The candle will need to relate to what you are wanting to draw into your home. For example if you wish to draw prosperity into your home you will want to use an Unlimited Prosperity Candle. You should allow the candle to burn all the way down on its own.
Types of Spiritual Baths:
The type of spiritual bath or floor wash choosen is important within your spiritual work. As herbs, roots, minerals and flowers carry their own added vibrational energies and power it is always suggested that you choose spiritual bath products which utilize associated herbs, roots and minerals. This of course is a more traditional way of utilizing spiritual baths where "teas" are made fromt he herbs. There are also liquids forms of spiritual bath washes that are utilized. However, we again suggest that even with these types of bath washes that herbs be utilized to increase the power and spiritual vibration. To see the importance of using herbs, one need only open the Holy Bible and read Psalms 51:7 along with the countless other herbs mentioned within this holy book.
Time and Days for Bathing:
Determining when id the best time to take a spiritual bath will vary from spiritual worker to spiritual worker. It will also vary depending on what your desired goal is. For example you would begin a ritual on one day if you want to draw love and a different day if you wish to cleanse yourself of negativity. Although there are specific days traditionally utilized for specific types of work, always remember that God works everyday, so if you can't do it on one particular day, do it when you can, but also remember that tradition often brings and air of power to your work. So, when possible do try to complete your work on the correctly associated day. Here are the days in which I was taught to complete specific types of spiritual work:
Monday: Opening Psychic Abilities, Communication, Road Opening of all kinds (very important!)
Tuesday: Protection, Battle work, Work to get rid of enemies, Break up, Dark Spiritual Work, Control
Wednesday: Communication, Friendship, Work for Quick Results, Career/Job Gaining
Thursday: Money Drawing for stability, Gambling Luck, Career/Job Gaining, Stable love/ Marriage
Friday: New Love, Friendship, Sex, Dominating Love, Money drawing for luxuries, Gambling
Saturday: Restricting Something/ Someone, Getting Rid of Enemies, Control, Break up, Fast Money
Sunday: Success of all kinds, Career/Job, Money Drawing and Gambling Luck
The time of day you choose to begin will depend on you. Some believe you should begin prior to bed when completing a cleansing (as is with my tradition). While some others beleive you should wait until the clock hands are upright for drawing things to you and pointing downward when sending things away from you. Still others beleive that you should bath in the morning before dawn or right at midnight. My best best advice is to complete your ritual baths when you can be alone and have time to focus on what you desire.
Most ritual baths in southern spiritual work will be carried out for more than a day. A standard number of baths is 3 or 5. Each of our bath products contains enough for at least 3 spiritual baths, but sometimes depending on the severity of the situation 5, 6, 9, 11 or even 13 baths may be necessary. Prior to Bathing:
Preparation is a vital part of the spiritual bathing process. A typical spiritual bath consists of the bath itself, incense relating to your desire, an after bath product to put upon your body, a Bible to read specific related versus and one or more candles lite for the bath. It is important to have all of these items within the bathroom prior to beginning your bath. It is also important to remember to spiritually be in the right frame of mind for your particular bath and desire. If you want love then you should be in a romantic mind set. If you want money then you should be in a financially prosperous mind set. If you are broke and feel sad about it, you shouldn't complete money drawing work because your energy is one of poverty. Word to the wise...always get your mind right first!
Praying over your spiritual bath water is also very important prior to bathing. Many people will read specific scriptures including Psalms over thier bath water and then pray that God will bless the bath to do what you intend it to do. During the Bathing Process:
The most common and traditional way of bathing is to rub downward from head to foot to release or expell something from your life and to rub upward from foot to head to draw something into your life. During this time most people will pray hard and speak aloud for what they want. An example of this is to say, "I am FREE from ALL negativity and evil that I have brought on myself or that was sent by others in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit!" Another example is to say, " In the name of Jesus, I have financial abundance and stability, money comes easily and frequently for all of my needs and wants!" Also, remember that regular soap is not typically used during spiritual baths.
Many people, including myself, believe in submersing the entire body in the bath several times. I often suggest 7. I know that many women are often concerned with their hair and often choose not to get their hair wet. This is a personal decision, but the head is an important part of your body and I was taught that washing the entire body was important to spiritual success.
After the Bathing Process:
Once you have completed the bathing process and you are ready to get out of the tub remember that you will need to air dry. Air drying is both traditional and very common within spiritual work. As you air dry, you may wish to read specific scriptures relating to your desire and rub yourself with associated spiritual colognes and oils. You should always dress in clean clothing once dry. You should remember to allow your candles to burn until they burn all the way out. If necessary the candle(s) can be removed from the bathroom.
Cleaning & Disposal:
Cleaning up after spiritual baths is something that should not be forgotten. If you completed a cleansing it is even more vital as you don't want someone, or yourself, to get back into the tub after all the releasing you have done. We suggest cleaning the tub with either ammonia or bleach (not both!) to make sure that the energy is removed. This is also the case if you are doing work to draw something to yourself as well. You may dispose normally of any other items used.
Spiritual Showers:
